Our Aims

  • to create a welcoming atmosphere in which the contributions of all pupils, parents, staff, governors and community are valued within a Christian context to achieve the highest standards possible across the curriculum.

  • to help children to enjoy and achieve through a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum, with clear expectations and  targets enabling all children to reach their full potential

  • to help children to develop healthy life-styles and make positive choices

  • to create a happy, caring, safe and stimulating environment

  • to celebrate individual and collective achievement.

  • to develop self-respect and a responsible, positive outlook.

  • to develop respect, tolerance and understanding of the many values and beliefs and cultural, spiritual and religious practices in our multicultural society.

  • to foster respect for our school, the local community and the wider world.

  • to encourage children to make a positive contribution and achieve economic well-being.

At Spennithorne Church of England Primary School we work to serve our community by striving to provide a happy, secure and caring Christian environment with our children at its heart. All here are valued and respected. We believe in the uniqueness of the individual and recognise the diversity and range of contributions that each child can make.

We aim for our school to be a place of inspiration where we work to set the foundation for a lifetime of achievement, encouraging each child to do their best and contribute to their own learning goals. We aim to provide for the spiritual, emotional, physical, mental and social development of the whole child; this includes a growth in knowledge and understanding of themselves and the world in which they live. We seek to foster in our children self-esteem and a sense of responsibility to others and to the world around them.

In all that we do, we endeavor to provide a high quality of education within a creative environment where children are enabled to develop the skills they require to take their place as responsible and caring citizens in our every changing world.

We endeavour to be a caring, happy school, guided by Christian principles, in which adults and children can develop their full potential and be appreciated as individuals.
We will ensure that the curriculum provides challenging, stimulating learning experiences and a setting in which children grow in understanding and tolerance of each other.
We would like the children to enjoy their time at Spennithorne CE Primary School and take with them a life long learning habit when they leave.
